I was woried WHY I routinely:) miss such doubles and I shuffled some checkers...

I have 8 hitters on his 11, 16 point makers on my 4 and 5, the 66 and 55 jokers. 26 good numbers! Not counting the last resort fives to hit a second checker! The take is the problem. A 2 point board can be a good double too! If I shift back my split checker on the 21 point all the way back to the ace (6 hitters less) it is still a double! If I shift back in addition my man on the 10 to the 11 it is no more a double. (26-6-4=16)The second most important shift, taking away 4 point making numbers on my 4 point. Mind your lumber placement!

This is the FINAL reference (no double position) - the ace is not split and the lumber is on 11 - 7 away from the 4 point. I noticed that as regards hitters a split to the 23 and 22 is equal, because the 53 is blocked from the 22 point. Still the split to the 22 has some merits over the 23.
