Why? Good enough for what exactly?

"How many permutations of a 7 for 9 SSN are there?

Can you rephrase what you are trying to learn. I don't understand what is being asked. Do you maybe mean that given a starting SSN, how many other SSN numbers are there that qualify as being a 7 for 9 SSN for it?
