This roll puts us up 24 pips. We're likely to want (and be able) to run the back men, instead of anchoring. Or hit again from the bar, if hit. It's not clear to me which point -- the 13 or the 10 -- is more helpful in getting the back checkers home safely, although -- once the back checkers are safe, we'd probably be better off not having still to clear the bar.
13/10(2) seems better when things go wrong. 6/3(2) seems better when things go right. We should be somewhat favored to have things go right. Cue Chuck to ask: but how wrong? and how right? Dunno, but five more fanning numbers after 6/3(2) seems a plus.
With bar/22 24/21*, I'll take 6/3(2) for 5/36 more tempo-gaining fanning numbers over 13/10(2)'s questionable utility in priming a 21-point anchor.
