Position: We have a 3 point board as well as a 4 prime, with 4 of White's checkers behind it. But White has an anchor at the end of our prime. White also has a 3 point board, but one of his points is his ace point. Moreover, he currently has a blot on his 4 point and only 1 cover. We’re on the bar and have another blot. Overall, I think our position is better (although there is a great deal of volitility.)

Threats: We threaten to hit White’s blot on this 4 point. If we do, we have probably lost our market (especially if he fails to make a second anchor on our ace point).

Race: We’re ahead by 31 pips, on roll. But we’re on the bar vs a 3 point board.
