Perry has a blot on his 3 point. An opposing blot in opponent's homeboard that we can't hit is an incentive to attack elsewhere, even with a weak attack, to stop opponent from making the point and increasing the chance that we can hit it next turn. So, I'd expect the leave 'em alone play bar/15 8/3(2) to be third best here. White will make the 3 point and resplit, or make another point, or anchor.
Bar/15 6/1*(2) might be right. I count 22 ways White can hit and/or make his 3 point. The other play is bar/20 8/3(2) 6/1*. I count 12 ways to hit or make the 3 point. What else is going on? After bar/15 6/1*(2) Blue's position looks goofy. The three point is better than the ace point. Most of White's entering numbers do something after either play. I guess it's close but Blue doesn't gain from getting a third checker sent back, so I'd play bar/15 6/1*(2).
