As far as I know, encoding is not done in the Logitech c920 camera. Perhaps you mean c930e? In theory, with c930e it should be easier for your computer, but I don't have enough experience with it to be sure how much easier.

I should add that if you are trying to organize BMAB-USA tournament I would gladly let you borrow some equipment.
