Two plausible plays: 8/3 or 7/2, both leave one checker too many in the outfield. I don't think the 44 joker if playing 7/2 has much relevance. The deciding factor for me is our inability to handle 3's next roll should we play 8/3, 63 being the horror roll. I play 7/2.
