Quite play is 16/11 and 24/23 or 8/7. Big play is 8/2* which leave four blots around and put white on the bar while he has two blots around. Blue is ahead in the race, have less checkers back which is point which point to safe play but has better board and white has blot in his board which point on bold play.
At such score blue can send cube only in pure race so maybe is better idea to try for gammon and hit lose. Also if white make is 5pt he get instant counter prime.
I will hit lose and try for undoubled gammon. If we put white on the bar blue can pick one more or even two white checkers and get time to escpae his last back checker. If white rehit from the bar he still has blot on his 5pt and blue still has better prime.
8/2*
