Indeed. I played this a few times. It's very hard to bring home and the cube is nearly useless to White. What seems to be happening is (1) there's a swing on letting 4s escape and then (2) the gaps hurt, with the gap on the 7 point or the 7 and 8 points being worse than no gap, or a gap on the 8 point.
