Blue doubled, after much thought White passed.

Blue was adamant with White that it was a take. White thought it was close.

Blue offered to bet that it was at least a 0.03 error to pass. White declined. White said he would bet it was no worse than a 0.05 error to pass.

They then asked my opinion. I said I thought it was too good and, thus, was a huge pass. Blue, who is a good friend, said I was crazy and that I should be demoted to intermediate.

I offered to bet that it was much closer to "too good" than it was to a take. He took that one.

Snowie evaluation showed narrow "too good" (0.02 or so)/absolutely humongous pass (0.72 as I recall).

Snowie rollout (with Blue's parametric settings which I am not familiar with) showed narrow double (again, 0.02 or so)/absolutely humongous pass (0.65 or thereabouts).

So, as Neil might suggest, to have taken this would have required White to buy BK's for the whole tournament attendance.

I'll remind Blue of this often as I suggest perhaps he should play in the intermediate in the next tourney. (only kidding)
