I dont think you win enough gammons (or backgammons) to make this worthwhile. ND/T is where I am at here. Do you have less than 31% here without hitting? I think you have more. Plus, you are likely to get doubled on any fan, so incoming cube ownership has to be good right? You have a threat, yes, but are down in the race, and even on the hits, your opponent still has outs. Make it gin on a hit, with a closer race, and maybe its a double.

Of course, after this weekend, I have learned that I know less than nothing about this ridiculous game, and thusly, the correct answer is probably D/P (or whatever the opposite play to mine is).
