Each position must be assessed on its own and with intelligent look ahead. You must ask 5 questions.

1) What can happen to give us a proper take next turn.

2) How close will this take be?

3) How often if at all will we be able to decide (as a team) to make this take?

4) Can we err next turn after a good sequence for us and take a cube that is an actual pass?

5) Are you mentally tough enough to roll trash here, have us enter well and take a cube that is actually a close pass and then have us roll a 17-1 fly shot and then looking at another blot and a riskless play on, gammon you?
