I am not sure why that should matter.

It could be the case that doubling in the position is say a 0.025 error. It could also be the case that this wrong and that not doubling is a 0.025 error say. I (and others) don't know this, the best we can do over the board is guess. Because the gammon percentages are unlikely to be high in this position, cashing is unlikely to be a big mistake.

If I double now I risk making a single mistake. If I don't double now and my opponent dances, I could potentially make 2-4 repeater errors, depending on how quickly I am able to put builders in place to make the bar point.
