I like making the 3pt at all scores except gammon save.

3pt. board indirectly guards our rear blot, which pressures opp's outfield points and takes away his landing spot. I don't see more constructive plays.

At gammon go I'd consider 21/16 13/10 too, but it seems too high risk vs. reward due to opp's hitting numbers diversification, and I think an additional homeboard point raises our gammons more than trying to force the hit exchange now.

At gammon save I'd play 21/13 to secure the blot from the range of 9 potential attackers.
