specs such as "i7" or "i5" are nearly as useless as specs such as "desktop" or "sleek, slim ultrabook" or "laptop"
You really have to have the specific model number of your processor.
Intel has so many generations of i3, i5, i7 that without the model number you just don't know. Some i7s are dual core, some are quad core, or more, etc.... some newer i3s are faster than older i7s, etc., etc., etc...
unless someone has put in their processor model number such that you can find its entry in http://cpubenchmark.net the numbers being posted here aren't of much use.
And given the strong correlation between XG positions/sec and the benchmark numbers at cpubenchmark.net, you don't really need to know what other's numbers are, just find your current processor at the site and compare its score that of any processor you are considering purchasing.
