TraumaBG has provided an excellent short answer -- perfect. Here is a more complete one, in case it helps.
You can nactate Blue's 63 play shown above either with an areal letter (o) or with a style character ($), or even with a numeral (4 = 4pt). Generally, people use "$" because it is the primary member of the $ (Slot) family, whereas "o" is merely the secondary member of the O (Outer) family. [Capital O would refer to 13/7 8/5, which could also be nactated & for double-slot.]
You can nactate Blue's 63 play shown below either with an areal letter (D = Down) or with a style character (% = alt slot). In this case, people typically use "D" because it is the primary member of the D (Down) family, whereas "%" is merely the secondary member of the $ (Slot) family.
[If the play happens to hit, it is not a typical "slot"-type play. In that case, you could use H (Hit) for hitting on the 4pt in the first diagram, or hitting on either the 10pt or 7pt in the second diagram. Or you could go with the areal option and use O for the first diagram or D for the second diagram.]
For D, see page 4 of the Nactation tutorial. For H, see page 7. For O, see pages 10 and 13. For $, % and &, see pages 27¡V30. To better understand the difference between areal and style characters, see sections 5 and 6.
