BMAB (IR) Ranking Tournaments - Congratulations to New Grandmaster Amir Eshraghi!

BMAB (IR) RANKING TOURNAMENTS #3, #4 & #5 PR & GRADINGS REPORT -- AMIR ESHRAGHI AWARDED GRANDMASTER TITLE

Three BMAB ranking tournament have been held in Iran in recent months, very successfully organised and directed by Amir Eshraghi and Houshidar Ildari, with both regular BMAB players and newcomers participating. This format is proving to be incredibly popular in Iran with great demand to hold regular tournaments.

In general the results from the three tournaments show both a high and constantly improving level of play, so congratulations are due to all participating players. The special achievements are also summarised below:

Amir Eshraghi has achieved the lowest PR at each tournament with astonishing scores of 4.36, 3.36 and 3.16! With these superb performances and those from previous tournaments, Amir has been awarded the title of Grandmaster (Class 3). Congratulations and kudos for such a fantastic achievement, very well deserved!

Roohollah Amiri Andy played in the third and fifth tournaments, each time achieving the second best PRs with excellent scores of 4.67 and 4.20! With these remarkable performances, combined with similarly excellent scores at previous tournaments, Roohollah is awarded the title of Master (Class 1), just one level below Grandmaster. Congratulations for such a fine achievement which is well deserved.

Other notable achievements include the proficiency level upgrades for Mohammadreza Moeinfar (Advanced - Class 1) and to Masoud Aghdam and Hamidreza Shahrokhi (both Advance - Class 3). Congratulations to Mohammadreza, Masoud and the 14 year old Hamidreza for making such significant improvements.

Massive congratulations to Amir, who joins an elite group of 30 Grandmasters. He has earned this accolade both by great natural talent and through constant study and experience!
