I recall a 9 pt match vs an aggressive cuber/taker

Typical aggressive Open player..figured his best chance vs me was to press a bit with the cube. If there was any doubt whether it was a cube, he sent it and if any doubt whether it was a take, he took. My checker play was better than his, but not overwhelmingly so.
Anyhow..I get a 6-3 lead and it shouldn't be too hard to win the game up 30 pips vs his 5 pt/mid pt holding game when I have the 7,8,9 pts to clear down to (OK I am losing the 9 pt soon, but his board isn't looking too sharp with his ace pt allready) I know this ins't a money take, and probably not a take at score. I send it..he thinks..thinks thinks it's a pass and takes stating i am to good to try to beat from 7-3 so he might as well risk 8-3. I get hit after rolling 61 in the bearoff and he recubes me in what is about an even game and easily wins (was slightly correct to wait a turn)
LOL ok I am trainling 6-7 and get an early board advantage and he rolls a really poor entering shot from the roof so I aggressively cube. All of a sudden my opp has turned into Little Red Riding hood, rather than the Big Bad Wolf..he thinks a minute or so and drops a clear .75 take at score. Had I been seduced in trying to fine tune this cube, I may have rolled poorly and lost the game.
LOL the DMP game was funny, aided by an early 22 where I make his 3 pt and my 4 pt and then cubed him in (no market loss possible b4) I then watched the guy playing incredibly wimpy and stack awkwardly and then dump checkers behind my 22 pt anchor. He was simply butchered in the game, and played it so poorly that I must have been over 55% to win the game.
I have seen the reverse and been bitten in the ass by it. 9 pt match..game 1...opp passes a clear take..game 2) opp give me a close holding game take gets hit and passes a close recube take (I had a high pt open in hb) game 3) I think about whether to cube or not, and opp passes instantly. game 4) opp (trailing 4-0) has a clear money cube for several rolls and fails to cube (I would've passed the last couple turns) I save my self with small dub/bug dub to escape his nearly completed blockade, and then opp passes a takable holding game..5-0 for Neil... next game..LOL..once again he passed a clear money take that I was was rather certain wasn't goog enuf to cube at score..now 6-0...
OK..lets try to steal point 7 from Colonel Whiteflag..but NO..not even he could pass that cube at that score..and WTF he hits a fly shot, and it comes right back at 4, in a position where I don't know who was winning. I soon found out, and later horror rolled from the roof entering and breaking anchor to get 3 closed out. score Neil 6..Opp 8. I win the Crawford game with ease and am looking good at DMP til I can't hop his 4 pt anchor to claim. 7 checkers off when he hits but he has a crashed 4 pt board. Need I say more..except that I earned a well deserved loss.
Becareful judging your opp's moods and tendencies and realize that random opps may just be miss judging several situations rather than displaying something real trend.
