As things stand, 1 and 2 hit inside; 9 and 10 hit outside. Making the 4pt does not block any of the 6 numbers that hit outside.

Making the 4pt might be good if Blue expected to be trading hits. All too often, however, the trades he gets are far from equitable. Hitting deep on his 3pt, for instance, is no panacea for Blue. Not being able to hit is probably worse.

On balance, the outside blot is more a liability than an asset.

I'll like making the 9pt, and eliminating 6 shots.
