Making the four point seems to be dumping checkers behind the anchor, which is not the best idea when down in the race. OTOH, the race is about even after this play, so maybe it's right. If it turns into an exchange of hits, the third homeboard point will be worth a lot, but the four point doesn't stop white from waltzing around the board while we're stuck on the ace point.

I'll maximize contact by making the nine. Without much confidence. and then 6/2 for the final four since I want to hold the midpoint.
