Video Recording of Matches

I believe that any privacy concerns of individuals must be overridden by the need for the game to advance. Part of that is a need to record matches. How often do tournament finals go unrecorded?
I am a big advocate of a 21st century standard regarding technology in backgammon. Clocks should be used for ALL open level matches, and probably intermediate level as well. No one should have the right to refuse a video recording of the match. Players should be allowed to discreetly photograph positions, provided it is not done too often -- although if the match is clocked, you should then be allowed to take as many photographs on your own time.
In chess tournaments, you are required to record (on paper) your match. It is written in tournament announcements that those records are the property of the tournament or tournament director.
Any such changes that I advocate in backgammon will, of course, be prominently printed in all tournament announcements.
