One of my favorite motifs: Attack or prime?

I think I would hit first, while the inner boards are still equal. Blue might gain some initiative if he strikes the first blow. If Blue does not hit, White is unlikely to do him the same favor, and White has 12 checkers in the zone with which to make an attack.
