You have to remember that part of the skill difference in these is in the complexity of the position. I was just fine with the way things were going, he was obviously not so clear about his position, and the general board, so pressing for a more complex game to get to positions where you can expect a take from a dead drop is part of the gameplan.

This was an online match with some random player (I dont want to name names), and I find that you just never know how bad theyre going to be (or good!), so its more often a case of testing the water. In a previous match (which I won), I had seen his deep takes (when I thought I was cashing). The manner in which he lost the match also indicated "steamer" to me too..
