Above 0-ply, gnubg can evaluate the equities of all subsequent rolls to evaluate cube decisions. These aren't available to 0-ply, so it uses some Janowski formula to determine cube action. The assumptions about volatility and recube efficiency can cause gnubg to double at 0-ply when it would not at higher plies.
