Exactly! Without lookahead, a bot can't really see market losing sequences. Its forced to use a heuristic (probably Janowski) to convert cube*less* W-G-BG percentages into a cube*ful* equity.

Of course 2 ply isn't perfect, because a bot will still need to apply a cubeless to cubeful heuristic to all the positions it see 2 moves ahead, but atleast its had the chance to see real market losers (and any immediate recubes) by then.
