I'm not referring to variance reduction (VR), or variance-reduced results (VRR). I don't use the luck factor to say who played better, and it's my understanding that until now, that's not what this thread concerned.

Combining analysis of the luck of the dice with the two players' PRs to produce a VRR for a match, is a horse of a different animal than just discussing what the luck factor might or might not tell us.
