There is a risk in staying on the 24-point. We may not roll a decent escaping number for a while and get pointed on eventually. There is also a reward, 62, 53 and 56 do not play well for Stick right now if we stay back and keeping maximum contact is thematic when we are clearly down in the race. OTOH, if we jump out now we are almost certain to not lose gammon, which looks very important AtS. The importance in preserving our lead in the match tips the choice to 24/18 8/5 for me.
