If the average change to a size of error is roughly zero on the second pass, why wouldn't you expect that the chance of being exonerated with a 0.02 error being changed to correct by 0.02 will be matched in the long run with a 0.02 error becoming a 0.06 error. Net effect 50% increease in PR over these two moves, without outplays enabled.
