I guess no one will argue that the only play is to hit.

That gives 8/7* 6/1*for13 hitting rolls in reply at 36%

That gives 13/7* for16 hitting rolls in reply at 45%

I ignore 24/23 6/1*as its very similar to 13/7* with the bonus of making the 18 point

The double hit wins by 9%. These % are easily calculated over the table. As usual there are some jokers about, thats dice business. Some will clutch at old straws and look for other logic , 9% is a big margin in backgammon terms. Count them rolls.
