Whilst making the 5 point "is obviously correct" for some, many will struggle with the decision. Follow the myth "the 5 point is the 5 point" or put 2 on the roof. I exploded the 5 point myth some time ago and it seems that the 5 point conundrum has not been in vogue recently. The roll odds decide. Exceptions ? hey this is backgammon. If you cant do roll odds in your head use the dice distribution tables to prove the point. Having calculated the roll odds for the original position the other 2 plays were self explanatory, double hit. Another good example to prove the point and confound the myth.
