Vegas Apr tourney moved to the Rio?

Allegedly, the Flamingo is undergoing some construction so it is being moved to the Rio. I usually stay in a different hotel for the 1st several nights because I can get comped at a nicer hotel but this year I could not get anything comped on the strip late April and I could not even get a good discount.

Looking at a Las Vegas Convention Calendar I see that National Association of Broadcasters is meeting at the convention center and has 103,000 attendees and Interop Las Vegas has 10,000 people at the MGM. I suspect that the Flamingo was regretting their $89/night rate for the BG tournament.

But then, maybe I am just cynical and it really is a construction issue.
