There is a saying that if you don't want to do something, any excuse will do.
Arguments like having more time because you are using an electronic roller, or a dice tube, or a baffle box, because the roll is faster or because there are not cocked dice are red herrings. They have NO AFFECT on the game if both players are rolling the same way. They will not affect the outcome of the match, and it won't affect other players. It's simply an just another way for people who don't want to see bg buddy or dicers used to find something to complain about.
If you truly do gain a fraction of a second or two, so what...it applies to both. And if others think that the two players using the dicer have an advantage over them, then they can use the dicer too.
One guy told me he hates the baffle box because he has a bad arm and it hurts to raise his arm. However, when he rolls, he often raises his arm just as much. Also, when I suggested we put the baffle box on the other side so he could use his other arm, he thought for minute and found a couple more excuses.
I noticed that someone complained that when Dennis Culpepper played Victor in the Masters Finals in Boston that Victor used a baffle box and Dennis did not. Dennis prefers not to, and Victor prefers to. Both players were fine with this. Why the hell object if both very highly experienced players were happy...they were both willing to compromise to be kind to their opponent, and in NO WAY did this affect the game.
Rules should be made that are reasonable and keep a level playing field and make the game more enjoyable. Unnecessary rules and objections and restrictions simply hurt the game.
