Phil, I am all for electronic dice genetators. I believe they have great potential and can offer much more than manual dice. Just look what BG Buddy had done and it cost less than a pair of dice! However, I think it is a mistake to say just because it is possible to manipulate manual dice it is okay that there is a chance electronic dice manipulated, simply bease improving chances to roll a number is not the same as surely knowing what the number is going to be. Moreover, in theory, there is no limit of how many illegal things can be programmed into an app and having your opponent to roll for you only covers a small part of posible cheats. You say that log can be checked, but this is not as simple. Trust me, no test will say I have cheated if I roll once or twice a number I need (or have you a numbER you hate) in a match. You would need a very big sample, and even then, you would still need to know what to look for. P40 and BG Buddy have both created attracrive apps and surely spent a lot of time doing it. I don't know for a fact, but it seems to me implementing security options that were suggested on thsee very forums would take much less effort. So, why not do it? Don't you want your app be used not only in a match between two friends or people trusting each other, but also in a tournament between two players who don't know each other or even not trusting each other?
