Baseball by the Book - You're the manager

There is a remarkable parallel to BG here. This is a calculable proposition.
I know little about Baseball, but if you know all the numbers here:
Pitcher: Strikeout rate, Singles given up, HR's given up, etc Batter 1: Hit Rate, HR's scoring rate, etc.
Then you can easily calculate which play carries the appropriate 'equity' by comparing the 2 plays side by side. Basically all you need to do is work out the chances that your side will score a run by bunting, and by swinging. You already have all the player stats (current and historical) that you need. I am sure that there are other relevant factors, but once you strip out the non-varying ones (i.e. outfield positions etc), then it becomes a straight calculation.
So, who wants to write the software (Chuck?), so that we (You and I, not the rest of these guys) can sell it to the MLB teams? Chuck.
Chuck? You there?
