Recording board

Hi,
I did some previous research on this considering various options like a recording board, automatic transcribing from a bg video recording, etc. I think none of them are good.
A more practical way would be to use a bigger touchscreen. Currently XG Mobile works on about 10-inch tablets like iPad, etc. It enables two human players to play backgammon without any hassle of dice rolling, transcribing, illegal moves, etc.
Similarly a bigger touchscreen tablet can be used. Here is a 24-inch example around 300 USD:

We need a reduced version of XG running on such a special hardware. A special backgammon playing, recording and clocking application (no analysis) can be developed using nabi Application Developer Program. Here is the link for this:
For tournament directors this kind of a board will be more convenient to carry around, probably lighter and less space consuming but will need power. After developing a pilot version using above technology, even cheaper and thinner versions can be built using OEM hardware with very reduced CPU power to make it less power-consuming.
If someone has time, budget and energy please do this "bg-tablet" for us :)
Take care, Sabri Buyuksoy
