Oh no...I'm getting on my soapbox again.

I was going to post late last night and then I remembered something about nothing good happens after midnight. Anyway, although I don't expect any live steaming this weekend (I don't recall any last year either), at minimum there should be some news/updates for the "Community."
If we are going to have an event on the American Backgammon Tour shouldn't there be minimal communication standards other than just posting a notice on Chicago Point 3 months in advance? For all the talk about promoting the game, where is the buzz when an event that calls itself "The US Open" can take place in Las Vegas and no updates occur? I saw a figure a day or two ago that 72% of Americans have smartphones. After 2 days of Super Jackpots and one day in the Main, how difficult is it to post a few pictures or informational comments?
How many are in the Main? The Advanced? Maybe a picture of the SJ bracket? What Giants are attending?
I know it sounds like I'm picking on this one tournament, but this happens way too often. Maybe there should be a requirement that the USBGF and an ABT event talk to one another and put out relevant updates. As much as I love getting info via bgonline, shouldn't the USBGF post updates on its Forum? Last I checked, their Forum sub heading called Tournament News hadn't been updated in 11 months. All I'm saying is there has to be a better way to promote and grow the game. Now I'll climb down and shut up.
