For me posting on BGO is akin to pissing into the wind, hence the virtual stink I carry. Calling a spade a spade is misunderstood by some as an insult to their BG nouse. Some advanced players fret that my simple approach will negate their self important egos attainted by understanding highly technical stuff which is seldom bought to the table. Must be careful look what happened to Mr Tyndale.
Mr Symborgs post was the stimulus that birthed this rant. I have been banging on about roll odds. He is acknowledging that roll odds are big in BG. I breezed through them as I'm very good at roll odds a very simple feature to understand in BG.
The 61 play I was surprised to see. An early open play that most XG players will have experienced. I don't think it helped understanding the positions to treat them as chicken and egg problems. I got one cube decision wrong.
I have passed all my stuff through BGO but my my status as a budding genius has not happened lol. The truth is I can make good cube and conditional play with my ability to determine GWC as a % reasonably accurately together with understanding roll odds. Cross a busy road, then stop and think, how did I do that?
It would be great if someone could do a video of how to use and recognise features in XG. Mr Symborg and Stick play it like a piano lol.
I take credit for multiple dice distribution tables updated by Mr Xavier when I started my roll odds research. Lets not forget I destroyed "the 5 point is the 5 point" myth (its all about roll odds). Thats not bad for a lesser mortal.
