What is the game plan if we don't hit? We hope to (1) hit a checker later from white's bar then hope the 2 checkers on the 24 point can jump a 5 prime or (2) play an ace point game. Neither choice is appetizing. Also if nobody hits a shot the rest of the game, we still need 15 crossovers to get off the gammon and most of those are long crossovers. Hit. The choice is with the 3. 8/5 or 7/4 cut white's hitting numbers down from 20 to 18. I don't think the damage that does to our potential prime is worth it. 24/23* 18/15.
