Take Points

I have been thinking about Take Points recently, and something is bugging me that perhaps more experienced players could shed some light on. I've always played matches with the notion that the Trailer should be aggressive with the cube, and the Leader conservative.

I imagine this should translate into generally lower Take Points for the Trailer, and higher for the Leader. But when I look at TP charts I see the opposite. What's going on?
