Wow, thanks so much for the responses. That really helps. As Phil says, you gotta look at individual scores. It makes sense to have a low TP when your opponent is 5-away, since 3-away is not to be feared. Mochy calls both "stupid scores."

Michael, I will have a look at your drive files, and would like to see that table when you get it uploaded.

Of course, knowing the exact take values still requires being able to figure out game winning chances, which is a challenge in itself. Estimating this is worth some practice!

Bob: I would think "position type" considerations would fall under the gammon rate.
