These numbers are excellent indicators of whether or not to take. They are only "helpful" in telling you when you should double.

As Bob Koca points out, different kinds of positions with different volatility and differing opportunities for efficient recubes, as well as, of course, the number and degree of net market losers, along with the doubling windows, all come into play in the decision to give the cube. Except on the last roll, or a one-roll deciding position, the cube decision is rarely based on a set win (and gammon) percentage.
