I am not sure what you mean by being a strictly theoretical case but one can think of "backgammon like" games for which your case happen. Suppose the first 10 rolls move the win percentage by some random amounts small enough to make no market loss possible. Then the 11th roll decides everything. A player at 50% about to make that roll has an optional double and market losers. The player the turn before also had a market losing sequence but an optional double if was also at 50%.
