I actually think that the 'proofs' I've read on this are a little weak as well if you want to take them as absolute proofs. The BG community as whole seems to take this as a proven fact, so that is what I was going on.

I do believe that in a 2-away, 2-away game played optimally by both players, the first player with a market loser doubles. Any possible oddball exceptions to this would be so few and far between that they don't matter in a practical sense, but that is just what I believe.

I am kind of rooting for you guys to prove something different.
