Good advice. But I will note that what I said was not that different from, for example, mamabear's remark about backgammon books. I only said that I was "vaguely amused" by another instance of mamabear's "take-away." Until you accosted me and forced me to say so, I didn't suggest that I was immune to the same phenomenon, nor did I "criticize" Magriel for it; that seems to have been something that you read into what I said.
