I agree, Neil. Unfortunately, the average player, even the average Open player, has no appreciation for the schedule and other complications associated with running a tournament.

I will give Phil some credit. In San Antonio a couple of years ago he was on a hot streak and winning in everything. He forfeited in an event or two so as to not delay the tournament and to allow himself to focus on the Championship. If only others were so considerate.
