world championship odds

Did the tournament organizers contact the bookies, e.g., William Hill, Ladbrokes, etc., to at least try to get them to offer bets?

It would be great for backgammon (and other geek games like chess, go, bridge, etc.) to have the betting houses take odds on their major tournaments.
