Thanks, Albert, for a rather nice summation of all of these issues in chouettes in varying locales.Each chouette is like an autonomous society with its own norms.I have played in other chouettes and their rules, at first, seem strange, or foreign.I have liked some of the other rules, and, disliked others.Like I said before,you play by the home team's rules.If you become a regular in that chouette, in time, you can always bring up other rules; have discussions about them and votes to change things in the future.
Chouettes are dynamic-rules can change.
