Chance of one loss player winning twice to win

In Response To: Chance of one loss player winning twice to win (Bob Koca)

Perhaps (you feel) that the other reason is to do with either:

a) the one loss player getting more match practice during the tournament, or

b) and conversely, having more rest just before the final? (I can't see from the published schedule whether this might be true.)
