You seem to feel like Didier was a big dog in every match he played. That is clearly not the case. In fact, I would guess he was the favorite in as many as 5 of his 7 matches. The only 2 that I feel confident he was a dog are Akiko and Petko. Certainly, he played several other strong players. I don't know enough about his play or theirs to know who was favored in some of those matches, but I'd be surprised if he were a lot weaker than any of them.
