I'm on the Rules Committee. Honestly, if I could have things my way, there'ed be no picture taking, (Recording, yes, but photos... No) as it breaks the tempo of play, and slows things down a bit and more importantly, can be quite annoying to the opponent who has to sometimes sit thru a dozen or more photos being taken.

However, banning pictures does go a bit too far, and could result in a few players deciding to not play. So we compromised and feel that if you prefer to take photos, you should prefer to use a clock as well and of course take pictures on your own time.
